Conference Centre
Discover our State-of-the-Art 200-seater Conference Centre, a versatile space tailored for impactful meetings, workshops, and large gatherings. Designed for both functionality and comfort, the facility is complemented by outdoor breakaway spaces—perfect for small group discussions, team-building activities, and creative brainstorming sessions surrounded by nature.
Accommodation
It also provides cost-effective, internationally recognized, customized capacity building courses in regenerative agriculture and associated agro-ecological technologies, along with comfortable accommodation for residential participants, transient guests, and day campers. The accommodation spaces are custom designed for individuals and/or groups.
Training Packages
Chitubu/Exaphozini offers affordable internationally recognised tailor-made capacity building courses in regenerative agriculture and related technologies. Specific courses include the 72-hour Permaculture design course, Advanced permaculture design course for educators, solar dryers and many more.
Meals & Catering
Experience the rich flavors of traditional Zimbabwean cuisine, lovingly prepared with fresh, locally grown ingredients from our gardens and surrounding communities. Whether you're a guest at Chitubu or hosting a special event, our catering team provides nutritious, full-board meal options tailored to your needs.
Samples include:
- Sadza with seasonal vegetables – a classic staple served with a variety of freshly prepared leafy greens and relish
- Zviyo (finger millet) porridge with peanut butter – a nutritious and energizing breakfast packed with traditional goodness.
- Magogoya, vibrant salads, and seasonal fruit platters – perfect for tea breaks, light lunches, or traditional dessert offerings.
Nursery
SCOPE Zimbabwe has a specialist-run herb nursery offering both tress and over 100 culinary, medicinal & aromatic herb plants including thyme, mint, oregano, and chives for sale, delivered ready to plant & flourish in any setup. Almost all plants propagated and grown on site. Based on our green vision and approach to the cultivation of herbs and trees, we provide a healthy and aesthetic identity to schools, homes, working and living environments, create atmosphere and contribute to biodiversity.
Key Elements
Reduce, Re-Use, and Recycle
To conserve water we reuse grey water from washing hands, the kitchen and bathroom for watering plants. All litter at the centre is separated using appropriate recycle bins and composts. After eating fruits, seeds are placed in a collection tin and kept for planting.
Solar energy
The centre’s primary source of electric power is from solar energy. To ensure that the solar system has enough energy to last through the whole day and night we recommend that our guests should take short showers, switch of all lights during the day and when leaving a room etc.
Dry Composting Toilets
There are several dry composting toilets around the centre. Dry composting toilets are an efficient, cyclical way of dealing with human waste without using freshwater. Please read the instructions in the toilets before use.
